More portraits from the other day :)

As promised, here are some more teasers from the session last week with those two great kids!  Man, that was a great session!  What made it so great?  Mom was so organized!  That is my weekness, but Mom gets big time kudos!  She brought in two well rested and well fed kids who were willing to cooperate.  Ok, so the baby doesn't get a choice, but the 5 year old really did a great job being the big kid!  Everyone was pleasant and relaxed... that always makes a great session!  So, thanks again for being so wonderful to work with!!!  I look forward to watching the girls as they grow.

By the way, good news is that I took those 400+ and narrowed them down to 135- then picked 22 of my favorites!  Wow!

Happy Birthday Kelly!

What a nice visit this morning from Kelly and her little Susanna on their bdays- although Susanna is just 6 months today.  She is growing so fast!  Today she looked too cute in her little outfit, and with the pink backdrop still hanging, none of us could resist an impromptu photo shoot!  Here is her 6 month portrait!

Portraits are Back!

Hello all!

After a very busy holiday season, I regret to see that we didn't post anything new since November!  So sorry :)  With a quiet January as is normal in the industry, February started with a bang!  Today I had the pleasure of working with 2 great kids and their super sweet mom!  I don't have a lot of time to play now, but I did have fun working on one of the images from our session.  I will post more later and get myself caught up again on the blog!  Lots of new news to share and a different BTM to announce!

This little lass was way too much fun!  WIth her Barbie Boom Box blasting "High School Musical", she and I had fun while Mom was singing all the words in the background... maybe Mom has music in her heart, too :)  This is one of my favs... I could have kept shooting her all day- as it is, we captured more than 400 shots... I will have to narrown them down for mom!  Good times... :)

Engagement Sessions!

Now is the time that many of our couples decide to do their engagement session.  We have also been doing a lot of the one year wedding anniversary sessions as well!  We need to post more of those, but for now, let me tell you about yesterday.

Yesterday's e-session finally arrived for one couple.  Weathered by the weather whether they like it or not, Michael and Joanna had to schedule their session 3 times due to weather.  Here is one shot from yesterday that we all loved.

There are other sessions that I want to post and haven't yet... sorry!  I will get caught up, I promise!

Senior Portraits and Engagment Sessions

So this weekend was a busy one!

The senior session was super fun!  Our senior, Mary was a great sport- so was her mother!  When I suggested that we take her keyboard out into a field, they didn't even question how to get it there!  Despite the damp ground and the lifting fog, we were able to see a beautiful morning!  The trek out to the field was worth it!  The weeks leading up to the session, Mary's mother and I had talked about where the session would take place.  She kept referring to this area in Neffsville known as Landis Woods.  I went along for the ride, and as we pulled into the parking lot I realized that this was the property where Eric and I were married!  There is a nature museum with a beautiful stone patio where we had our mid May morning wedding 11 years ago.  Being there brought back memories!  The field that we worked in was further down the property from the museum and it was breathtaking!  When we finished outside, we ended up back in the studio where we finished the portraits.  Such a great time!

Then, the engagment session on Saturday was for a new couple of ours- Shannon and Derek.  We began at his parents' home just outside of Lititz and ended up downtown where we went into a great little boutique- Archiologie.  Thanks to Lori for opening her shop to us to play in!  The shots I am posting are all from Derek's home.

The LIFESTYLE Session hits Central PA!

As I am sure you remember, this summer we did a fantastic contest for you called "A Day in the Life".  We offered a 6 hour portrait session to one lucky family.  The Owens family won and we set about to plan a day together in the fall.  Our day went by quickly and we did everything from hanging out in the basement, going to the park and even decorating their Christmas tree!  We had a blast together although I am sure they slept as well as I did last night!

I hope you enjoy a few images from their day.
